New York based brothers, Chris and Tom Gorman, work as a photographic team. Their commercial photography career began in 1992 after forming the Grammy nominated alternative rock band Belly. They created iconic images for the album covers and promotional material for the Grammy nominated album Star and were in immediate demand by other acts in the music community. When the bands successful run ended they relocated to New York City and transitioned into full time photographers. Their shooting encompasses a broad range of commercial and editorial subjects for a varied list of clients and a growing number of personal and fine art projects. The Gorman brothers often build their own sets and props, style and art-direct shoots and complete their own post-production work.
